This exceptional carving, made from beautiful milo and standing approximately 50 inches tall, is created from trees salvaged from the fires that ravaged Maui in 2023. The Hawaiian Priest, Hiva Hiva, was meticulously crafted by hand in Dale’s Maui studio, where he masterfully brought out the revered figure hidden just beneath the charred bark.

Hiva Hiva, a legendary Hawaiian priest, played a significant role in the spiritual and cultural life of ancient Hawaii. Known for his wisdom, deep connection to the land, and ability to communicate with the gods, Hiva Hiva was a spiritual leader who guided his people through times of change and challenge.
