This exceptional carving, made from beautiful milo and standing approximately 30 inches tall, is created from trees salvaged from the fires that ravaged Maui in 2023. Stately ‘Io was meticulously crafted by hand in Dale’s Maui studio, where he masterfully brought out the Hawaiian hawk hidden just beneath the charred bark.

The ‘Io, the Hawaiian hawk, is a powerful symbol of strength and sovereignty in Hawaiian culture.
